Kali Transcribe — Refund Policy
How App Store refunds work for the Kali Pro subscription and consumable minute packs.
Every Kali Transcribe purchase — the monthly subscription and the consumable minute packs — is sold and billed through the Apple App Store. As a result, Apple is the merchant of record and processes all refund requests directly. KALI INDIE cannot issue App Store refunds on your behalf.
1. How to request a refund from Apple
Use Apple's self-service portal: reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in with the Apple ID you used to make the purchase, find the transaction under Kali Transcribe, and follow the prompts.
You can also request a refund from your device: Settings → [Your Name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, tap the order, then tap Report a Problem.
2. What is generally refundable
- Auto-renewable subscription (Kali Pro Monthly, USD 3.99). Apple will normally consider a refund for the most recent renewal if it was unintended or if the Service has been substantially unavailable. Cancelling the subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptionsstops future renewals; refunding the current period is at Apple's discretion. If you cancel during an active 3-day introductory trial before it ends, you are not charged for that period.
- Unused consumable add-on packs. If you bought a 50-minute or 120-minute pack and have not yet consumed any of the minutes, that is the strongest case for an Apple refund. Once minutes have been consumed, Apple may deny the request because the digital content has been used.
- Duplicate or accidental purchases. Apple usually approves these quickly when reported promptly.
3. What is generally not refundable
- Past billing cycles of an auto-renewing subscription that you actively used.
- Add-on minutes that have already been consumed. Consumable minutes cannot be “restored” once spent.
- The 3-day Kali Pro introductory trial and the guest trial (5 minutes / 7 days) when no App Store charge has been taken.
4. Statutory rights (EU / UK / other jurisdictions)
Where local consumer-protection law grants you a statutory right of withdrawal or a mandatory refund, those rights apply in addition to Apple's policy. For digital content, many jurisdictions allow the seller to require that you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that doing so waives the right of withdrawal once consumption has begun.
5. If Apple denies your request and you believe it was wrongly denied
Forward the Apple denial notice to contact@kaliindie.comtogether with the order ID and a short description of the issue. While we cannot reverse Apple's decision, in clear cases of a Service-side failure (for example, the transcription endpoint was unavailable when minutes were consumed) we may grant goodwill credit by adding equivalent minutes to your account.
6. Cancellation is not a refund
Cancelling the subscription only stops future renewals; the current period remains usable until expiry. To request money back for the current period, you must go through Apple as described above.
7. Chargebacks
Initiating a credit-card chargeback for an Apple-billed purchase typically leads Apple to revoke the entitlement and may restrict your Apple account. We strongly recommend using Apple's refund flow instead of contacting the card issuer.
