Kali Reader — Refund Policy
How App Store refunds work for PRO subscription and character packs.
All Kali Reader purchases — the PRO monthly subscription and consumable character packs — are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record and processes refund requests. KALI INDIE cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
1. How to request a refund from Apple
Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase. Find the transaction under Kali Reader and follow the prompts.
From your device: Settings → [Your Name] → Media & Purchases → Purchase History, select the order, then Report a Problem.
2. What is generally refundable
- PRO Monthly (USD 7.99).Apple may refund the most recent renewal if it was unintended or the Service was substantially unavailable. Cancelling in Subscriptions stops future charges; refunding the current period is at Apple's discretion. Cancelling during an active 3-day trial before it ends avoids the first charge.
- Unused character packs. If bonus characters from a consumable pack have not been consumed, Apple is more likely to approve a refund.
- Duplicate or accidental purchases reported promptly.
3. What is generally not refundable
- Past billing cycles you actively used.
- Character packs whose bonus characters have already been consumed for conversions.
- The 3-day PRO introductory trial and the one-time 50,000-character free tier when no App Store charge was taken.
- Audiobooks you already downloaded — digital content delivered successfully.
4. Statutory rights
Where local law grants withdrawal or mandatory refund rights, those apply in addition to Apple's policy. Digital content may waive withdrawal once performance begins with your consent.
5. If Apple denies your request
Email contact@kaliindie.comwith the order ID and issue description. We cannot reverse Apple's decision but may grant goodwill character credit in clear cases of Service-side failure.
6. Cancellation is not a refund
Cancelling PRO stops future renewals only. The current period remains usable until expiry. Request money back for the current period through Apple.
7. Chargebacks
Credit-card chargebacks for Apple-billed purchases may revoke entitlements and restrict your Apple account. Use Apple's refund flow first.
