Kali Transcribe — Account Deletion
Two ways to permanently delete your Kali Transcribe account and all associated data.
Kali Transcribe gives you two ways to delete your account and the personal data we hold for you. Both methods are free of charge. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
1. Delete your account from inside the app
- Open Kali Transcribe.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account and confirm the action when prompted.
The request is sent to our backend over HTTPS and processed immediately. Your account record, transcripts, credits and linked purchase records are removed from our servers right away. The next time you open the app a new guest account is created on the same device, but your guest trial allowance (5 minutes / 7 days) is not reset — we keep a device-level record so the trial cannot be abused by repeated deletions. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
2. Delete your account by email
If you cannot reach the in-app option (for example, you uninstalled the app or lost access to the device), email contact@kaliindie.com with the subject line “Account deletion request”. To help us locate the right account, include the Short ID shown on the Profile screen (the first 8 characters of your account identifier). If you have linked an Apple ID, you may instead provide the Apple relay email shown on the Profile screen.
We process email requests within 7 calendar days. We will reply from contact@kaliindie.com once the deletion has been completed.
3. What gets deleted
- The device-scoped account identifier (the random UUID we stored in the iOS Keychain on first launch).
- If you had linked an Apple ID, the Apple opaque user identifier and any relay email we received.
- Every transcript saved against your account, including file names and language tags.
- Trial counters, subscription credits, and add-on credits.
- Stored purchase records, except where we are legally required to retain a minimal accounting trail (transaction ID and amount) for tax / audit purposes; in that case, the trail is no longer linked to a user account.
4. What deletion does not do
- It does not cancel your subscription.Cancel the Kali Pro Monthly subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions before requesting deletion; if you forget, Apple will continue to renew the subscription and we will simply have no entitlement to grant against it. Refunds for that case must be requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- It does not remove transcripts that you previously exported, shared by email, or saved to other apps. Those copies live in their host applications and are outside our control.
- If you had linked an Apple ID, it does not affect your Apple account itself. To also revoke the Sign in with Apple grant, go to Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security → Apps Using Apple ID.
- It does not reset your guest trial (5 minutes / 7 days) or an Apple-managed Kali Pro introductory offer. Guest trial usage is tracked per device even after account deletion.
5. After deletion
The next time you open the app, a new guest account is created with a fresh Short ID, still tied to the same device identifier in the Keychain. Your guest-trial balance carries over from before deletion. If you had linked an Apple ID before deletion and you re-link the same Apple ID, a new empty account is provisioned — the previous transcripts and credits cannot be restored.
