Kali Reader — Account Deletion
How to permanently delete your Kali Reader account and server data.
Kali Reader lets you delete your account and the personal data we hold. Deletion is permanent and irreversible and free of charge.
1. Delete from inside the app
- Open Kali Reader.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account and confirm both prompts.
Your account record, library, server audiobooks, upload files, and purchase history on our servers are removed immediately. A new guest account is created on the same device when you continue, but your 50,000-character free allowance is not reset — we retain a device-level grant to prevent abuse.
2. Delete by email
If you cannot use the app, email contact@kaliindie.com with subject “Kali Reader account deletion”. Include your Device ID shown on the Account screen (selectable text field).
We process email requests within 7 calendar days.
3. What gets deleted
- Your server account record and JWT session.
- All books in your library and associated MP3/upload files on our servers.
- PRO status, monthly character usage, and bonus character balance on our servers.
- IAP transaction records linked to your account, except minimal accounting data we must retain for tax or audit when required by law.
4. What deletion does not do
- It does not cancel your Apple subscription. Cancel PRO in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions before or after deletion. Refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- It does not remove MP3 files you already saved to Files or other apps on your device.
- It does not reset the one-time 50,000-character free grant for your device.
- It does not remove the device identifier from your iOS Keychain — the app reuses it to enforce the free-tier policy on re-registration.
5. After deletion
Tapping Continue on the welcome screen or reopening the app registers a fresh guest account with empty library and FREE plan. You may restore PRO through Restore purchases on the paywall if your Apple subscription is still active.
